Discovering the Advantages of Becoming an Online Therapist in the Modern Mental Health Landscape
As a mental health professional, you may be pondering the concept of online therapy, questioning your prospects in this burgeoning sector, and wondering about potential success as an online therapist.
In a recently published study in the Journal of Telemedicine and e-Health, over 80% of clients reported finding the treatment on our virtual behavioral health platform as effective, or more effective, than traditional therapy.
By choosing to practice online, you can make a significant impact on the lives of individuals who may never have had access to therapy before, as many of our clients have not previously engaged in traditional therapy. Let us delve deeper into the advantages of practicing as an online therapist with our platform.
Eliminating Additional Expenses
Without requiring costly external marketing, we bring the clients to you, thereby eliminating the additional overhead costs associated with a traditional private practice (e.g., office space, parking fees, commuting costs, billing services). Our platform handles financial considerations like client insurance eligibility and insurance billing on your behalf.
Efficient Client Matching
As an online therapist, your practice can reach clients from various locations within your licensed states. Over 70% of our clients have never received therapy before, increasing access to mental health care for those who need it most. Our intelligent matching process pairs members with therapists based on licensure, availability, and specialties within their state(s).
Virtual Work Options
Meet with your clients from any location, enabling you to reach more individuals in your licensed state(s). This remote working option reduces travel-related costs, making your work more accessible for clients and providing a more comfortable environment for sessions.
Chose Your Time Commitment
You have the freedom to commit either full-time or part-time hours to our platform.
User-Friendly, HIPAA-Compliant Technology
Our platform's in-platform dashboard facilitates writing progress notes for each client, streamlining case management. Essential clinical information, treatment plans, and client information are all securely stored and easy to navigate. With technology at your fingertips, you have access to data visualization tools that support your success in treating clients.
The platform allows for multimedia communication between you and your clients, including asynchronous messaging, images, audio/voice messaging, live video capabilities, and PDFs. You can upload documents and worksheets of your choice through a secure uploader within the platform app.
Our platform employs banking-grade encryption and security to securely store client communication. We adhere to HIPAA and HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) regulations, protecting client confidentiality and complying with current legal requirements.
Ongoing Support and Development
Our platform therapists benefit from tailored training, community support, and development opportunities. Access paid, online-available onboarding training, with dedicated assistance from our Training Team for the first month.
Other provider support services include our Provider Help Center, Provider Manual, and a Provider Support Team, available to answer any questions you may have. Continue developing your education through our platform-provided learning communities, supported by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), offering free continuing education credits.
