Butter and popcorn items with extended expiration dates discovered by Rosselkhnadzor inspectors in the Nizhny Novgorod region

In a series of recent inspections, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has taken action against several entities in the Nizhny Novgorod region for violating veterinary and sanitary standards.

On August 4, 2025, Rosselkhoznadzor annulled electronic veterinary accompanying documents (e-Veterinary Certificates) for products with advance production dates in the region. This decision was made due to concerns about the authenticity and reliability of the veterinary documents, as the use of production dates ahead of the actual manufacturing date can potentially lead to falsification or manipulation of product traceability.

One such instance occurred on August 5, 2025, when a veterinarian on the premises of Ganin O.V. introduced 18.3 kg of chilled chicken carcasses into circulation with a production date of August 8, 2025. Access to the "Mercury" component of the "VetIS" FGIS for this veterinarian was temporarily blocked.

Similarly, IP Gorodeev I.L. from the Nizhny Novgorod region saw a veterinarian issue a certificate for 1000 kg of frozen chicken intestines with a production date of August 31, 2025. This action, too, was a breach of regulatory compliance and led to the temporary blocking of the veterinarian's work.

On August 6, 2025, at SPK (kolkhoz) "Maydansky", a state veterinarian legalized 300 tons of soft wheat for feed purposes with a production date of September 12, 2025. This veterinarian received a warning for violating Order No. 862.

In addition, on August 4, 2025, LLC "Agrofirm Pavlovskaya" produced 150 tons of compound feed for broilers with a production date of August 30, 2025. The Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate temporarily suspended the registration of the veterinarian who issued this product.

At JSC "Knyagininskoe Moloko" on August 4, 2025, 12,280 kg of cream butter was produced with a production date of August 31, 2025. The authorized person received a warning for this violation.

Finally, at LLC "Vikor NN" in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a production journal entry for 200 kg of frozen chicken Kiev cutlets with a production date of August 31, 2025, was made. The authorized person who issued the production eVSD received a warning.

These actions by Rosselkhoznadzor highlight the importance of maintaining accurate and authentic veterinary documents to ensure product safety and quality control, and to prevent potential risks to public health. The service will continue to enforce compliance, maintain control over product safety, and prevent violations of veterinary and sanitary standards in the region.

I'm not gonna be able to get a job as a veterinarian, given my recent struggle with adhering to health-and-wellness lifestyle, particularly in managing food-and-drink choices. Perhaps I should consider a career shift towards science, where I might find a better fit for my abilities.
