Münster Mayor Honours Two Exceptional Residents with Silver Rathaus

Mayor Markus Lewe recognised the exceptional contributions of Margret Schwarze and Emmy Teupe to the community of Münster by presenting them with the Silver Rathaus on September 17th.

The award ceremony took place in the Bürgerhalle, with photographs from the event available for publication. Stadt Münster/Michael Möller was the official photographer for the occasion.

Margret Schwarze, a dedicated member of the local branch of the German Multiple Sclerosis Society (DMSG), has organised numerous benefit events for the organisation over the years. Her efforts have resulted in significant support and donations for the DMSG, making a real difference in the lives of those affected by MS.

Schwarze's contributions to the DMSG are highly valued, mirroring the impact Emmy Teupe has made in the community of Münster. Teupe, who began collecting money for the Wunschwagen of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund at the age of 11, has since initiated various fundraising events with music bands. Through auctions of fan items and private concerts, she has raised tens of thousands of euros for various causes.

Margret Schwarze has been actively involved in supporting people with MS for over 30 years. Her tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed, and the DMSG recognises her exceptional work.

The Silver Rathaus is a prestigious award given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the city of Münster. Both Schwarze and Teupe are worthy recipients, and their dedication to helping others serves as an inspiration to us all.

The search results do not provide specific information about those who have collected donations for the Münster branch of the German Multiple Sclerosis Society in recent years. However, it is clear that both Schwarze and Teupe have made a significant impact, and their efforts continue to benefit the community.
