Devotion-Driven Journey for Females

The Diocese of Eichstätt and Ingolstadt is gearing up for the annual traditional Women's Pilgrimage, themed "Pilgrims of Hope." This year's event, scheduled for September 20, promises to be a spiritual journey filled with hope and unity.

Organised by the Eichstätt diocesan association of the Catholic German Women's Federation (KDFB), the pilgrimage is expected to attract a large number of women from the diocese. The event will last approximately 4 hours and cover an approximate distance of three kilometers, starting from the cemetery church of St. Anna and concluding at the Cathedral of Eichstätt.

The pilgrimage walk will pass through the city of Ingolstadt and will include stops at various stations along the route, each with a specific theme related to the Holy Year. The walk will begin at 12 pm, and participants will gather at the filial church of St. Wolfgang on the outskirts of Velburg for the meeting point and welcome.

The highlight of the pilgrimage will be a Mass at the Cathedral of Eichstätt, led by Bishop Gregor Maria Hanke. Following the Mass, the pilgrims will receive a blessing at the Cathedral of Eichstätt. Refreshments and a meal will be provided for participants at the end of the pilgrimage.

The pilgrimage is open to all interested women from the diocese, not just its branch associations. For those planning to attend, it is recommended to check the official websites of the Diocese of Eichstätt or Diocese of Ingolstadt for the most accurate and up-to-date information. Local parish offices or pilgrimage coordinators in the Eichstätt/Ingolstadt region can also provide valuable insights.

The 202X Eichstätt/Ingolstadt Women's Pilgrimage promises to be a memorable event filled with faith, hope, and camaraderie. Don't miss out on this opportunity to join thousands of women on this spiritual journey.
