District Cancer Center Delivers Nutrition Education for Cancer Patients
The Herford District's Cancer Advisory Center is hosting a free informational event on the topic of "Diet and Cancer" on October 1, 2025. The event will take place at the Family Doctor Center in Kirchlengern, located at Bahnhofstr. 2-4, top floor.
The event is aimed at both cancer patients and interested relatives, providing valuable insights into the role of diet in cancer prevention and treatment. Madeleine Buescher, an Oecotrophologin at the Kirchlengern Family Doctor Center, will be speaking at the event.
While there is no known "anti-cancer diet", the widely discussed "5 a day" campaign can potentially improve the immune system and strengthen the body's defenses. Cancer patients often feel uncertain about changing their diet, and this event aims to provide clear, practical advice to help alleviate these concerns.
The event will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the seminar room of the Family Doctor Center. Registration for the event is required by phone at 05223/6530390. Attendees are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.
This event is a great opportunity for those interested in learning more about the impact of diet on cancer and for cancer patients seeking guidance on dietary changes. With the expert advice of Madeleine Buescher, attendees can expect to gain a better understanding of how diet can contribute to cancer prevention and treatment.
