Enhanced Healthcare Network Established in Kitzingen County, Aiming for Improved Local Health Services

The County of Kitzingen has taken a significant step in enhancing its healthcare system with the launch of "Health Region Plus." This regional network brings together actors from health, care, social services, and education, with a focus on practical benefits for the county's residents.

County Administrator Tamara Bischof chairs the health conference and is substantially committed to this initiative. She has taken on the patronage of a central project: "Improving resuscitation results in the County of Kitzingen." The goal is to sustainably promote the health of the population through better coordination, targeted projects, and needs-based solutions.

Two managers, Tatjana Schitz and Katharina Schlereth, head the business office responsible for building and maintaining the network, initiating and accompanying projects, public relations, and expert advice. Both women bring extensive experience from the health and prevention sector to their roles. Tatjana Schitz, a graduate health scientist, has experience in the welfare sector, clinical and personnel development, and occupational health management. Katharina Schlereth holds a master's degree in health economics and worked as a scientific employee at the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety, focusing on cancer registration, data evaluation, reporting, and collection.

Tatjana Schitz is also familiar with grant advice, and the project aims to make a decisive contribution to improving emergency care and saving lives, in cooperation with the Kitzinger Land Clinic.

The emphasis on close networking is to avoid duplicate structures and integrate existing initiatives. This approach creates a holistic approach where everyone is working towards the same goal, as stated by Tatjana Schitz and Katharina Schlereth. The network was legally established in the County of Kitzingen based on a resolution of the Bavarian Landtag on December 10, 2024.

Since May 1, 2025, "Health Region Plus" has been active with state-funded personnel. County Administrator Tamara Bischof emphasizes that health is a priority and the network aims to bring together people, institutions, and ideas. Initial projects were decided upon during the first working meeting with County Administrator Tamara Bischof.
