Ev. Grundschule Loehne-Obernbeck Wins 'Healthy School' Award for Student Health Initiatives
Ev. Grundschule Loehne-Obernbeck has received recognition for its commitment to student and staff health insurance. The school implemented multiple health-promoting measures, earning the 'Healthy School' award.
Renata Lleshi, from the Kreis-Gesundheitsamt, and sports scientist Pascal Kramer presented the award to teacher Katrin Wessel and Daniel Gieselmann. The program, 'Gesunde Schulen im Wittekindskreis', aims to foster health and prevent issues among students and staff, understanding health insurance as crucial for learning and development.
Pascal Kramer led students in exercises boosting coordination, concentration, learning ability, and motivation. The project leader, Birgit Behrends, invites interested schools to participate, contacting her or the health conference office for details. Ev. Grundschule Loehne-Obernbeck's efforts included dental health, nutrition, and social training activities with external experts' support. Other awarded schools were Elisabeth-von-der-Pfalz-Berufskolleg, Grundschule in Westerenger, and Erich-Kaestner-Gesamtschule in Buende and Kirchlengern.
Ev. Grundschule Loehne-Obernbeck's dedication to health promotion has been recognised. The 'Healthy Schools' program, supported for nine years, encourages schools to prioritise health insurance for successful learning and offers support and certification.
