Heidelberg U's NAR Launches 'Aging - A Lifetime' Image Competition
Heidelberg University's Network on Aging Research (NAR) is hosting an image search competition titled 'Aging - A Lifetime', supported by the BrainAid Foundation. The German Research Foundation (DFG) backs this initiative, aiming to explore personal perspectives on aging. The top three images will receive cash prizes of 500, 200, and 100 euros respectively.
The competition, running until September 30, 2025, encourages participants to submit one self-created image search in any creative format, excluding AI-generated content. Submissions should be original and not previously published or awarded. The interdisciplinary NAR brings together researchers from various fields to explore aging, with a jury of scientists selecting works for an exhibition. The initiative seeks to foster individual visions of life as an older adult.
The 'Aging - A Lifetime' image search competition offers a platform for creative interpretations of aging. With backing from the DFG and BrainAid Foundation, it promotes dialogue and understanding around this universal experience. Participants are invited to share their unique perspectives through visual art.
