Hospitalizations Due to Suspected Food Poisoning in a Ranveer Singh Starrer Location in Ladakh: An Update on the Situation

In the reporting by Dhurandhar, it's suggested that 120 individuals at a hospital in Ladakh may have been affected by food poisoning, potentially linked to a film featuring Ranveer Singh. The details unveiled offer an insight into this incident.

In the heart of Ladakh's Leh district, a food poisoning incident caused a significant health scare on the set of the highly-anticipated film, Dhurandhar, on August 17, 2025.

The incident, which affected around 120 crew members, was characterised by symptoms such as severe dehydration, abdominal pain, vomiting, acute gastroenteritis, and headaches. Approximately 600 people were served the contaminated food, with 120 requiring immediate medical attention and admission to the SNM Hospital in Leh.

The production house has confirmed that the filming of Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar and featuring a star-studded cast including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, has not been postponed or shelved. Aditya Dhar himself is personally overseeing the situation.

The district administration provided help during the incident to manage treatment and crowd management. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and most of the affected crew members have since been discharged, with five still under observation.

Food samples have been collected and sent for laboratory analysis, but final reports on the cause are still pending. The shoot has been temporarily halted to ensure the crew's safety and health.

The incident has sparked an online debate regarding Ranveer Singh's romantic role in the film with a 20-year-old actress, Sara Arjun. Despite this, the first glimpse of the film Dhurandhar has recently been unveiled, and the release date remains scheduled for December 5, 2025.

The medical superintendent of the SNM Hospital reported that the affected crew members were promptly attended to, and the hospital was well-equipped to handle the situation. The makers of the film have not yet issued an official statement confirming details of the incident.
