Income levels for babysitters and caregivers during June 2025

Nannies and caregivers for adults get their June salary based on the previous month's figure, with a new collective bargaining agreement set to revise wages in the sector. As it stands, the latest wage grid for the sector is outlined in Resolution 1/2025 published by the Government. This resolution sets the minimum wages for each worker category.

In June, the previous month's increase serves as a reference for calculating the salaries of nannies and caregivers, who belong to the fourth category of domestic workers, responsible for providing non-therapeutic assistance and care for people, such as the sick, disabled, children, adolescents, and elderly adults.

Hourly wage for nannies in June 2025

For those working by the hour or shift in private homes, the following minimum values are references:

  • $3089 for hourly work with withdrawal
  • $3454 for hourly work without withdrawal

These rates apply to those working less than 24 hours per week for the same employer.

Monthly salary for nannies in June 2025

Under a monthly scheme, workers receive:

  • $390,567 with withdrawal
  • $435,246 without withdrawal

These figures correspond to workers who work 24 or more hours per week for the same employer, in proportion to actual hours worked, and fall under the regime established by law No. 26,844.

Keep in mind that these figures represent only the salary, and employers are also required to pay concepts like seniority, pension contributions, and health insurance.

Extra payment in disadvantaged areas

The law provides a 30% additional payment on minimum salaries for each category in areas designated as "disadvantaged," such as La Pampa, Rio Negro, Chubut, Neuquen, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands, Partido de Patagones within the Province of Buenos Aires, and more.

Registering domestic workers in ARCA

All employers must register their domestic workers in the ARCA registry, regardless of the number of working hours or hiring modality. This registration can be done virtually as follows:

  1. Access the ARCA website with your fiscal key. Request a fiscal key if you don't already have one.
  2. Load the employee's data. You can automatically bring associated data if the person has ARCA using the CUIL number.
  3. Confirm the person's data, and complete the fields below.
  4. Enter the worker's address, which can be selected from the dropdown menu if it's already in the ARCA database.
  5. Enter the work details and describe the characteristics of the labor relationship, including the type of work, weekly hours, payment method, remuneration, work modality, date of entry, and whether the work is temporary or permanent.
  6. Indicate the workplace, and select an address from the list if it's already registered by the same employer or enter a new one.
  7. Review all the information entered to verify and confirm it.

  1. In light of the current wage grid and the new collective bargaining agreement, it's essential for employers to stay updated on the minimum wages for various worker categories, particularly those involved in health-and-wellness and workplace-wellness sectors, as they provide care to the sick, disabled, children, and elderly adults.
  2. It's also crucial for employers to understand the importance of personal-finance and finance management, as they are responsible for paying concepts like seniority, pension contributions, and health insurance in addition to the salaries they offer to their domestic workers.
  3. Furthermore, understanding the role of key economic sectors like science and business in shaping the economy can help employers make informed decisions about their operations, ensuring they provide competitive wages and benefits while maintaining financial stability.
