Man, 37, Causes Chaos in Isny, Injures Policewoman, Damages Property
A 37-year-old man caused chaos in Isny im Allgäu, injuring a policewoman and causing significant property damage before being apprehended. The pursuit and investigation were led by the traffic police service (Verkehrsdienst) Kißlegg.
The man, driving a Hyundai, caused multiple accidents while fleeing from police. He first injured a policewoman from the Isny police post who attempted to stop him. He then collided with several vehicles, including another police car, before driving onto the premises of a motorhome manufacturer. There, he broke through several fences and eventually crashed into a building wall, where he was cornered.
A worker from an adjacent company blocked the exit with his excavator, preventing the man from escaping. The man was later discovered to have several grams of synthetic drugs in his pocket, which were seized by police. The total damage is estimated to be in the six-figure range, with multiple criminal charges now pending against him.
The 37-year-old man was taken to a psychiatric clinic due to his psychological state. Blood tests confirmed he was under the influence of alcohol and intoxicating substances. The Verkehrsdienst Kißlegg continues to investigate the incident.
