Marburg Marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Free Info Session & Pink Walk
The University Town of Marburg is marking International Breast Cancer Awareness Month with two free events in October. The first, a Breast Cancer Information Session, will take place on October 22. The second, an October Walk, will occur on October 25, organized by the Breast Cancer Self-Help Group Marburg in cooperation with the Regio Breast Center of UKGM.
The 'Breast Cancer Information Session' offers a chance to learn about breast cancer screening and self-exams. Experts will share their knowledge, and registration is required due to limited seating. The event starts at 11 AM at the Aquamar parking lot and ends at 1 PM, with a planned break along the route. Participants are encouraged to wear pink or rose clothing or accessories to increase visibility and show support for the cause. No registration is needed for this walk.
Both events aim to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection. The 'Breast Cancer Information Session' provides valuable information, while the 'October Walk' offers a visible show of support. Together, they contribute to Marburg's observance of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
