Mairura Family Foundation Continues Orthopaedic Surgical Missions in Kisii County, Kenya
The Mairura Family Foundation, a US-based organisation, is currently conducting its annual orthopaedic surgical missions in Kisii county, Kenya. The latest mission took place from August 4 to 7, 2025, at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Since 2022, the foundation has been actively involved in supporting underserved populations by donating medical equipment and providing orthopaedic surgical care. In 2024, they shifted their focus to surgical missions in Kisii, performing about 40 surgeries, including fracture repairs and elective procedures like hip and knee replacements, while treating over 1,000 outpatients.
