New Tulsa CVC Boosts Oklahoma Vaccination Drive

A new community vaccination center (CVC) opens in Tulsa on April 21, 2021. This center is a collaborative effort between multiple local, state, and federal agencies, aiming to boost vaccination rates in Oklahoma, particularly in high-risk communities.

The CVC, located at Tulsa Community College Northeast Campus, will operate Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. It has the capacity to administer up to 3,000 doses per day and will receive a weekly allotment of 21,000 doses. Appointments are encouraged but walk-in vaccinations will be accepted.

The center will have multilingual staff, including English and Spanish speakers, with translation services available for other languages and sign language interpretation. Health officials emphasize the importance of wearing masks, frequent handwashing, and social distancing to prevent COVID-19 spread.

Vaccinations will continue to be available through existing locations, such as THD clinics, local pharmacies, and health centers. For more information on the vaccine and vaccination opportunities, visit www.ourwebsite/COVIDvaccine.

The CVC in Tulsa is set to play a significant role in Oklahoma's vaccination drive. With its large capacity and multilingual support, it aims to make vaccines more accessible to all communities, particularly those at higher risk. The center's operation aligns with ongoing vaccination efforts through other local channels.
