Nine Sick, Four Hospitalized After Carbon Monoxide Exposure at Herrenberg Bakery
Nine people fell ill, four hospitalized, after carbon monoxide exposure at a bakery in Herrenberg/Haslach. The bakery operation was suspended, and the building ventilated by the fire department. A section of Hohenzollernstraße was temporarily closed due to the incident.
The incident occurred during a bakery operation. Nine people experienced circulatory problems and nausea due to carbon monoxide. Four were hospitalized, five treated on site, and one transported by helicopter for further examination. The Herrenberg Police Station is investigating the cause of the carbon monoxide formation. A section of Hohenzollernstraße was temporarily closed for safety reasons.
The Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters is overseeing the investigation into the carbon monoxide formation. The current public sources do not provide information on the identity of the responsible officer. The bakery operation remains suspended, and the building is being ventilated.
