Proposal sought for a worker radiation safety directive from the Commission, addressing risks associated with ionizing radiation exposure.

On September 13th, an incident occurred on the RB 53 train that has led to the arrest of an Algerian man. The man physically attacked two passengers, kicking, punching, and spitting at them, before being handed over to the waiting federal police at Seligenstadt station and provisionally arrested.

According to the Federal Police Directorate Munich, the suspect is being investigated by the Federal Police Investigation Headquarters in Würzburg for dangerous bodily harm, insult, and fraud. The Algerian man refused to leave the train when asked to present a valid ticket and later locked himself in the train's toilet after being asked to leave.

The altercation involved a 34-year-old Algerian national, DB AG employees, and several train passengers. Two passengers who intervened sustained minor injuries, one of whom sought medical attention. The man physically attacked the passengers, assaulting them with kicks, punches, and spitting.

The Federal Police Inspectorate in Würzburg has opened an investigation against the man. The inspectorate, which is one of fifteen federal police inspectorates in the Federal Police Directorate Munich, is responsible for ensuring the safety of train users and train infrastructure. It is affiliated with the Federal Police Stations in Aschaffenburg and Bamberg.

The core competencies of the Federal Police Inspectorate in Würzburg include searching for unauthorized migrants on train premises. However, the search results do not provide the name of the suspect involved in the physical attack on two passengers.

The train conductor and driver opened the toilet door to remove the man, but he spat at the train employee before being removed from the toilet and asked to leave the train. The man re-entered at a different location, escalating the situation further.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of cooperation and adherence to train regulations for the safety and well-being of all passengers and train staff. The Federal Police Directorate Munich urges anyone with information related to this incident to contact the authorities.
