Psychiatric Day Clinic Eichstätt: Nightly Sessions Provide Information

In October 2025, Klinikum Ingolstadt's Center for Mental Health is set to open a day clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy in Eichstätt. This development marks an important step towards enhancing mental health care services in the region.

At the helm of this new initiative is Prof. Dr. Andreas Schuld, the Chief Physician at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy II, Psychosomatics at the Center for Mental Health of Klinikum Ingolstadt. Dr. Matthias Habich, a senior physician, and Claudia Matterstock, a psychological psychotherapist, are also part of the team involved in providing mental health care at the Eichstätt location.

The inaugural event, scheduled for October 1, 2025, will be an overview of the day treatment options offered by the day clinic in Eichstätt, presented by Prof. Dr. Andreas Schuld. The lectures, which will take place at the facilities of the psychiatric day clinic in Eichstätt, aim to provide information on mental illnesses, treatment options, and help reduce stigma, according to Prof. Dr. Andreas Schuld.

The series of lectures commences at 6:00 PM, with subsequent sessions planned throughout the month. On October 29, 2025, Dr. Matthias Habich will discuss 'Sadness, Fears, Insomnia' and explain potential mental health issues behind them. The last lecture of the year on November 26, 2025, will be presented by Claudia Matterstock, focusing on psychotherapy options available at the day clinic.

Notably, no registration is required for these informative sessions. The Center for Mental Health at the Eichstätt location will be hosting information evenings on mental health topics starting in October 2025.
