Enter the DLRG Hamburg, the Hamburg Swimming Association (HHSV), and Bäderland—your swim buddies for this thrilling challenge. On Sunday (June 15), they're hosting a free-as-a-fish swimming check at select indoor Hamburg pools.

Whether you're a sea noob or a sea savvy salty dog, prove your mettle between 10 AM and 5 PM. Both the Seahorse and the German Swimming Badge in Bronze (Free Swimmer) are up for grabs!
Here's the splashin' good news: Participants score free admission to the pool during test times, and the tests themselves are, you guessed it, on the house! Registration for the swimming check is available on-site at participating pools.

"Swimming skills could mean the difference between life and death, but sadly, fewer and fewer young Hambgurgers can swim safely," cautions Heiko Maahlmann, president of DLRG Hamburg. According to his statement, over fifty percent of primary schoolers in Hamburg today possess insufficient swimming skills. This disturbing trend particularly targets families from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
