Lighting Up Future Generations: Rosie Riveters Tackles Pro AV

Welcome back to another year of the Rosie Riveters Explores Pro AV fundraising campaign! We're gunning for $20,000 to bring hands-on, community-based STEM programs to schools in Aurora, CO; Dallas, TX; and Arlington, VA. These initiatives aim to boost access to STEM education, introduce girls to the AV industry as a viable career path, and narrow the gender gap for the next wave of AV pros.

Seasoned Pro AV industry liaison for Rosie Riveters, Erica Carroll, explains the relevance of repetition in this work: "Regular engagement with schools isn't just about one-time projects. We want to build relationships to inspire a vision for those kids' futures. Seeing a McDonald's every day gives them an idea of working there. By showing them local STEM-centric logos, it opens up new career possibilities."

Since its inception, Rosie Riveters Explores Pro AV has raised close to $50,000 to bring STEM education to schools across the USA, including Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Arlington, Maryland, and San Diego. Bradford Ben of Advisist is back as the title sponsor this year, donating $5,000 to kickstart the campaign, which amounts to 25% of the goal.

"It's a massive privilege to witness the third consecutive year of collaboration between Pro AV organizations geared toward providing valuable STEM experiences for young girls," shares Brittany Greer, executive director and founder of Rosie Riveters. "Experiencing 'productive struggles' in STEM builds the confidence required for these bright minds to excel in STEM fields."

Interested parties can donate to the cause via AVgives.com, making a difference in the lives of young girls who aspire to careers in STEM via Pro AV. Companies donating before May 1, 2025, will have their logos displayed on Rosie Riveters Explores Pro AV's new T-shirts, while choosing the "Adopt a School" option offers updates and photos from supported schools.
