Shark Tank's Mark Cuban Invests $300K in Black-Owned Vegan Burger Brand
Everything Legendary, a Black-owned vegan burger brand, received a significant boost after appearing on Shark Tank. Founders Jumoke Jackson, Danita Gassen, and Duance Cheers secured a deal with Mark Cuban, who invested $300,000 for a 22% stake in the company.
The founders initially sought $300,000 for a 10% stake, but Cuban's offer of $300,000 for 22% reflected his confidence in the business. The deal closed in late 2021, providing a substantial injection of capital.
Everything Legendary's burgers, made from all-natural, plant-based ingredients like hemp protein and coconut oil, have gained traction for their versatility and health benefits. Each burger clocks in at around 250 calories, making them a guilt-free indulgence. The company offers four flavors - pepper jack, cheddar cheese, cayenne pepper, and classic - catering to diverse tastes.
With Mark Cuban's investment and mentorship, Everything Legendary predicts strong sales for the current year. The company remains committed to promoting healthy eating in the Black community, offering a delicious and nutritious plant-based alternative to traditional burgers.
