Teenage girl allegedly enticed into sex trafficking via a dating app, ten individuals indicted by the District Attorney of the Bronx.
In a shocking turn of events, ten individuals, including nine men and one woman, have been accused of sex trafficking a 16-year-old girl in the Bronx, New York.
The alleged trafficking began when 48-year-old Tesean Green met the teen on the dating app Tagged in November 2022. Green, the main accused, is currently incarcerated in New Jersey and will be arraigned on the Bronx charges at a later date.
Defendants Jamel Cameron and Brianna Jamison, residents of Queens, are accused of advertising "dates" with the victim on the commercial sex site MegaPersonals.com.
Tesean Green's 38-year-old uncle, Joshua Green, is accused of trafficking the teen and forcing her to sell crack cocaine. Joshua Green pleaded not guilty in July and remains in custody after a judge reduced his bail. Between December 2022 and March 2024, Green allegedly impersonated the teen online, arranged hundreds of "dates" in New York and Atlantic City, drugged her before the encounters, and kept all of her earnings.
The victim testified in a grand jury to expose her alleged traffickers and rapists. She was reportedly drugged with ecstasy, beaten severely, and forced to tattoo her trafficker's name on her face.
Six other defendants, including Luis Muicela, Dale Gordon, Jaquan Cherry, John Adebiyi, Richard Stanley, and Shandel Briggs, were accused of paying to have sex with the underage victim. They were released without bail. Stanley's attorney claims his client had no role in the case and expects the charges to be dismissed. Attorneys for Muicela, Gordon, and Cherry could not be reached for comment. Adebiyi's attorney declined to comment.
The accused individuals face charges such as sex trafficking of a child, promoting prostitution, rape, and criminal sexual act.
The Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark stated that the girl is now receiving support from the Crime Victims Assistance Bureau and is moving towards a better future. The search results do not provide information about a 27-year-old man from Manhattan accused in connection with a sex trafficking case involving 16-year-old girls or the date he spoke about the charges.
This case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing issue of human trafficking, particularly among minors, and the need for continued vigilance and support for victims.
