Understand Your ePR: Free Event on Oct 21 in Euskirchen
On October 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM, a free event will take place in the council chamber of the city administration of Euskirchen, Cologne Street 75, 53879 Euskirchen. Hosted by the Consumer Center in Euskirchen and 'SIE' (Senior Citizens in Euskirchen), the event aims to inform the public about the electronic patient record (ePR), a significant development in healthcare management.
The ePR has been mandatory in medical practices and clinics since October 1, 2025. Statutory health insurers have set up an ePR account for their insured, with private health insurers following suit. Monika Schiffer, director of the Verbraucherzentrale in Euskirchen, will lead the event. She will delve into the ePR, its benefits and drawbacks, how to set it up, use it without an app, and considerations for objecting. For those insured under statutory health insurance, their data is now required to be entered in the ePR.
The event is an opportunity for the public to gain insights into the ePR. The Consumer Center in Euskirchen and 'SIE' invite all interested parties to attend and participate in this free event.
